AEDM day 27: strange

Today just feels strange. The Christmas markets opened all over the city today, and the mood is festive and fun. At the other end of the spectrum, good friends of mine remain holed up in their hotel room in Mumbai, waiting for the terrorist attacks to be over.

Oh, and it’s Thanksgiving. I’ll be celebrating with some American friends later tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe, of all places. How’s that for strange?

  1. I was thinking of you today and wondering if you would be celebrating Thanksgiving in Germany. We eat The Dinner in the evening – as there are three of us I dont fix much but there is a sizeable country ham, baked Smithfield style, sweet potatoes and fresh Parker House rolls. So I will think of you as we enjoy the day and hope that your friends are alright in Mumbai….

  2. Hope your Thanksgiving was an enjoyable one!

And my friends are doing well. It was a very frightening ordeal, of course, but thank goodness it is over now.
