Greetings from the United States. I’ve been in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the past week, producing my first stateside artwork in over 10 years. It’s been kind of like a miniature artist’s residency, and a nice chance to work outside of my home studio in Germany. Also, a good chance for me to re-learn paper sizes in inches.

Scenic downtown Chattanooga has provided the inspiration for this new group of cityscapes. These are mixed-media pieces on watercolor paper, a decidedly more portable and less toxic set-up than oil paints would be. Very handy when your workspace is someone’s dining-room table.
