Market pumpkins, oil on canvas, 18 x 24 cm, ©2010 Julie Galante. This original painting is for sale.
I love autumn at the farmers market. The pumpkins and gourds on display this time of year are so colorful and inviting. It almost makes me forget about the end of the summer fruits.
What’s looking good at your local farmers market these days?

Munich study: Market at Mariahilfplatz, oil on canvas, 18 x 24 cm. ©2010 Julie Galante. [SOLD]
We are having such a beautiful fall here in Munich – crisp, sunny days along with deeply colored leaves. It makes our Saturday morning walks to the farmer’s market absolutely delightful. I never want it to end – can someone please staple the leaves back on the trees?
By the way, I made this painting for the October Monthly Painting Challenge at Artists Helping Artists. Go check out the lovely assortment of fall paintings from all the participants.
