oil on canvas, 40 x 50 cm. After I last shared this painting in progress, it started looking too similar to another recent portrait. To combat that, I decided to work with some different colors, especially in the face. I like taking creative liberty when it comes to skin tones.

20 x 20 cm, oil on canvas. [SOLD] When I came back to this painting today, I expected it to need more work, but looking at it with fresh eyes I decided I liked its messiness. So I’m leaving it alone, and devouring the subjects for lunch.
SOLD I’m no stranger to using fresh produce as my still-life subjects, but for some reason painting this lovely head of radicchio seemed rather, well, silly. I blame the name.
