I’m designing some wedding announcement for a friend. They wanted a Bavarian theme that featured a pretzel, and these are the rough-draft sketches I put together. The style is more cartoony than my usual work, but I think my monsters (also cartoony) were good preparation for this project.

I am so honored to have REAL art by an incredible artist for my announcements- and yes Em- an Uwe muscle is about as requisite as a smirk or cleavage for me. Julie, I cannot thank you enough. I get a little teary eyed every time I look at these!!! St. Lucia is a great consolation to not having my Bavarian wedding, but this is a way to have my wedding cake and eat it too.
